Shri Rajashekharananda Swamiji's Purvashrama name - Nonayya was the eighth son of Late Shri Babu Shetty and Devaki amma. Since his childhood was always attracted to God, religious and spiritual activities. He was taking keen interest in God, Daivas, religious Utsavas and Swamijis. He used to worship in his own style and religions passion.  He had his formal education till II PUC. It is said that he offered 10 tender coconuts to Shri Anjaneya Swami of Shri Grupura Venkatramana Temple which led to his success in the 10th Standard examination.

Gradually he started taking keen interest in Upanishads, Vedas, Puja formalities etc. At this time he got the guidance of Late Shri Raghupati Upadhyaya, Pavanjei Arun Bhat  and Jayaram Udupa of Bailur. He learned Tantra Shastra from Brahmashri Kolake Tantri.  All of them were in touch with Udupi Matha and its culture.  1992 onwards Swamiji also came in close contact with Udupi Matha and started taking part in the religious discourses of Swaminis at Rajangana.  Slowly he learnt the various religious practices of Udupi Matha.  Later he was greatly influenced by Shri Shri Shri Vidyamanya Theertha Shreepada of Palimar Matha. Also he opted the Swamiji of Palimar Matha as his Guru.  Seeing his deep dedication, the 29th Swamiji of Shri Palimar Bhandarakeri  Matha, Shri Vidyamanya Teertha Swamiji blessed him with Sanyasa Deeksha and kept one Saligram on his head and poured holy water through Shankha as a blessing. This led to his first step into Sanyasashrama. 

For the next 2 years, The Swamiji studied many religious scriptures and practices and became matured in Sadhana, Adhyana Satkarmanushtana.  In April 2000, on the auspicious day of Sri Hanuma Jayanthi he performed all the necessary Karmramgas & `Atma Sharddha' and entered Sanyasa Ashrama with the guidance of scholars and Purohitas in a full-fledged manner. From here onwards he came to be known as Shri Shri Shri Rajashekharananda Swamiji.

Since the last 10 years Shri Vajradehi Matha became Swamiji's `Karma Bhoomi’. He built a Temple and dedicated himself to the social service in a religious way. By his continuous dedication towards social service & outlook, extensive travel and experience, he earned great reputation all over the world.
